The Antechinus is number 9 on The Most Extreme Dads. They only have 3 weeks to make babies. They are so busy making babies, that they don't eat, drink, or go to the toilet. If another antechinus comes along, and manages to kick the first potential father out, the potential father will have to find a new female to mate with. Males can mate with females for 12 hours straight. And at the end of it all, the male ends up dying, which is actually good for the family, as there is less competition for resources.
